UK laser hair removal published price observations

· Observation 1

On 8 October 2026 we read 24 UK provider websites across six cities and recorded every price they published for a single laser hair removal session to the underarms and to the full legs. Six providers published a single session price for one or both areas, and the 14 figures recorded were £30 to £85 for underarms with a median of £50, and £120 to £199 for full legs with a median of £180. Five of the 24 do not offer laser hair removal at all. One publishes two different single session prices for the same area on the same page. These are prices providers published, not quotations, and they do not establish what any treatment will cost you.

What this record is, and what it is not

This page exists because the cost of laser hair removal is quoted everywhere and sourced almost nowhere. A reader, a journalist or a resource page that wants to say what laser hair removal costs in the United Kingdom usually has to rely on a figure with no date, no sample and no way to check it. This record is the opposite of that: a fixed number of named provider pages, read on a stated date, with every figure traceable to the page it came from.

It is a record of published prices. It is not a price list, not a quotation, not an offer and not a comparison of providers. It does not rank anybody, recommend anybody or say that one appointment is better value than another. A price cannot show which laser platform is used, at what wavelength, by whom, whether it suits your skin tone, or whether laser hair removal is appropriate at all.

Laser hair removal resists comparison in a particular way: it is priced by body area, and providers do not agree on how areas are named or grouped. One list prices underarms on their own, another bands them with the jawline, the feet and the hands, and a third sells them only inside a package of several areas. The unit here is therefore a single session to one named area as the provider published it, and two areas are reported, underarms and full legs, so that one small area and one large area are each sourced.

Observation 1: 8 October 2026

Every figure recorded

Unit observedProviders publishing oneFigures recordedLowestMedianHighest
A single laser hair removal session to the underarms67£30£50£85
A single laser hair removal session to the full legs67£120£180£199

Six providers publish a figure for both areas, which is why the two rows carry the same provider count. Two of them price by sex, so they contribute two figures to each row.

What this observation changed on this directory

Until this observation, the laser hair removal guide on this directory stated £80 to £150 per session for underarms and £150 to £300 for full legs. Neither range could be sourced to a published price, and the panel does not support either.

AreaRange stated here before 8 October 2026Published range observed on 8 October 2026
Underarms, single session£80 to £150£30 to £85, median £50
Full legs, single session£150 to £300£120 to £199, median £180

The underarm figures are the clearer case: the observed range sits almost entirely below the range that was stated, and only one of the seven figures reaches as high as the bottom of it. The former range has been removed rather than restated, and the guide now carries the observed figures with their date. A reader who had used the old range to budget would have expected to pay roughly twice what this panel publishes.

One page, two prices

The single most useful thing this observation found is not a number but an instability. clnq.com publishes, on one page, a price table giving underarms at £34 for a single session, and an answer further down the same page giving a medium area of jawline, underarms, feet, bikini, neck or shoulder at £125 per session. The two figures differ by a factor of 3.7 and describe the same area on the same day. Neither is pooled here, because the page does not publish one price.

That matters beyond one provider. A published laser hair removal price is not always a stable fact even inside a single page, which is one reason market ranges for this treatment circulate so freely and survive so long without a source. Anyone quoting a laser hair removal range should say which page it came from and when it was read.

By provider

Each of the six publishes a figure for underarms and a figure for full legs, so the lowest and highest below are those two figures, not a spread within one area.

The city samples are very small and should be read as such. London is the only city where more than one provider on this panel publishes a single session price, and the three London figures are also the three highest underarm figures in the set. Manchester and Edinburgh contribute no pooled figure at all: in Manchester one provider contradicts itself, one sells packages only and one does not offer the treatment, and in Edinburgh one does not offer it and two publish their prices only as a PDF or an image.

Course pricing, derived rather than published

Laser hair removal is sold in courses, so the single session figure is the part of the price that matters least. No provider on this panel publishes a discount percentage, so the figures below are derived, by dividing a published course price by the number of sessions it covers and comparing it with the same provider’s published single session price. They are arithmetic on two published figures, not published figures, and they are kept out of the pooled set above for that reason.

Provider websiteAreaSingle session publishedCourse publishedImplied per sessionImplied discount
skinscienceclinic.co.ukunderarms£77£231 for six£38.5050 per cent
askinology.comunderarms£85£357 for six£59.5030 per cent

leeds-clinic.co.ukunderarms£30£150 for six£2517 per cent
edenskinclinic.co.ukany areanot applicablea course of six with the seventh session freenot published14 per cent

Across those five providers the implied discount on a course of six runs from 14 to 50 per cent, with a median of 30 per cent. One provider, skinscienceclinic.co.uk, states the 50 per cent in words on its own page, which is the only place on the panel where a discount is published rather than derived. clnq.com is excluded from this table as well as from the pooled figures, because its single session price is not settled.

Method

The method is written out here so that the figures can be checked and the observation repeated.

When. All 24 pages were read on 8 October 2026. A price that changed after that date is not reflected in Observation 1.

Where. Six cities were covered: London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh. These are the cities this directory already indexes.

Which providers. The same 24 provider websites observed for the HydraFacial record, the anti-wrinkle injection record, the dermal filler record and the skin peel record, so that all five records describe one panel rather than five different samples. Where a provider publishes laser hair removal prices on a treatment page rather than its main price list, the treatment page was read and its address is the one listed.

How pages were selected. A page was included when it was a provider’s own website and published prices for its own treatments. Price comparison sites, deal and voucher sites, booking platforms, directories and editorial cost articles were excluded, because the figures on them are not the provider’s own published price.

What was counted. A published price for one laser hair removal session applied to the underarms, or to the full legs, named by the provider. The two areas were fixed before the pages were read. Where a provider publishes one price covering a band of areas that includes the unit, that figure is recorded once and the band is stated in the register. Where a provider publishes different figures for men and for women, both are recorded.

What was excluded. Starting figures with no area named; courses, packages and multi area bundles; prices covering two or more areas together, such as a bikini and underarm combination; patch test and consultation fees; booking deposits and finance instalments; electrolysis and waxing, which are different treatments; intense pulsed light where it is priced separately from laser, and any other body or facial area. These were excluded so that the figures compare one session on one area with one session on the same area. A provider publishing two conflicting single session prices for the unit on the same page was excluded from the pooled figures and recorded in full in the register.

What the numbers are. Lowest and highest are the lowest and highest figures in the set. The median is the middle figure of the set, or the mean of the two middle figures where the set is even. No figure in the pooled set is estimated, interpolated, averaged across cities or adjusted in any way. The only derived figures on this page are in the course pricing table, which says so in its own heading and text.

What could not be read. Six pages did not yield a price on the observation date. ai-beauty.co.uk and drstmedical.co.uk answered HTTP 403 on both their price page and their laser hair removal page. altamedi.com answered HTTP 202 with a challenge page carrying no price text on both. leedsprivatehospital.co.uk answered HTTP 429 on two spaced attempts and a third address did not connect. thesourceclinic.com publishes its price list only as images and a PDF. yuubeauty.co.uk publishes its price list only as a PDF. All six are recorded as unread rather than as publishing nothing.

How sources are cited. Every page observed is listed in the register below as a plain web address rather than a link. The record cites its sources so they can be checked, without linking to, endorsing or promoting any provider.

What these figures do not show

A published laser hair removal price describes an area and an appointment a provider has chosen to advertise. It does not describe the laser platform, its wavelength, the energy used, the operator’s training, or whether the device suits your skin tone, and those are what separate a course that works from one that burns or does nothing. A 755 nm alexandrite platform and a 1064 nm Nd:YAG platform are priced the same on most of these lists and are not interchangeable for the person in the chair.

Because laser hair removal only works on follicles in their growth phase, it is cumulative by design and sold in courses of six to eight. Every provider on this panel that publishes a single session price also publishes a course price well below it per session, so a reader comparing single sessions is comparing the part of the price that matters least. The derived course figures above are the better guide, and they are still arithmetic rather than a published statement.

Nothing here is medical advice and nothing here establishes suitability. The questions that matter more than the figure are which platform is used and why it suits your skin tone, whether a patch test is done before a first treatment, who holds the licence and the training for the device, and what happens if the skin marks. No published price answers any of that. Ask the provider directly before booking.

Questions readers ask

What does this page record?

It records prices for laser hair removal that were published on provider websites in the United Kingdom on a stated date. Each figure was read from a provider’s own page and the address of that page is listed. It is a dated observation of published prices, not a price list, not a quotation and not an offer.

Why are the units underarms and full legs?

Because laser hair removal is priced by area and nothing can be compared across providers until one area is fixed. Underarms and full legs were chosen because they are the two areas this directory had previously stated a range for, one small and one large, and because they are the two most consistently named areas on UK price lists. Every other area a provider published is listed in the register but kept out of the pooled figures.

Why do only six of the 24 providers appear in the figures?

Five of the panel do not offer laser hair removal at all, which is the highest absence of any treatment this panel has been read for. Six pages could not be read or publish their prices only as a PDF or an image. Three offer the treatment and publish no price. Two publish a starting figure only, one publishes courses of six only, and one publishes two different single session prices for the same area on the same page, so it cannot be pooled.

Can I use these figures to decide what laser hair removal should cost me?

No. A published price is a commercial statement about one area at a moment in time. It does not establish what a provider will charge you, which laser platform will be used, whether that platform suits your skin tone, how many sessions you will need, or whether the operator is trained. Laser hair removal is sold in courses, so a single session figure is the least useful number in the decision.

Can this record be cited?

Yes. Cite the observation number and its date, because the figures are replaced rather than edited when a new observation is made, and earlier observations stay listed in the version history above.
